Our Passion for Hiking
At Intothewildcat Hiking Activities, we are a community of hiking enthusiasts who find bliss in exploring the wilderness in Catalonia, Spain. Our founder, Delph, has a passion for hiking and she highly respect the environment. She has created a way for local and international people to experience the outdoors in a way that is environmentally responsible. So, we hike every Sunday of the year and we are proud to say that we take public transport from Barcelona to our hiking destinations. We explore in small groups of no more than ten hikers, plus Delph as our guide.
Added to that, you can count onto a few adventurous multi-day treks each year, so you can experience the wild beauty of Catalonia and other destinations in a sustainable way.

At Intothewildcat, we are exploring Catalonia since 2019.
Delph the founder and the guide, is a child of Nature and a true outdoor passionate as well as a natural storyteller. She takes pride in leading the way through the wild while sharing her knowledge about the area she meticulously chose. You will not only enjoy the natural beauty of Catalonia, but also learn about plants, animals, legends and the history of the area.
You can also experience the rich Catalan culture by accompanying Delph hikes including historical visits to patrimonial points of interest that this gorgeous Mediterranean region has to offer and also, why not take part in wine-tasting sessions?
Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or a beginner, Delph plans expeditions for every level of expertise and if you can’t find your fit, you can just ask her a tailored hike!

Sustainably hiking
1.
We hike every Sunday by taking
public transport: train or existing
lines of buses.
2.
The group of participants does not
exceed 10 persons + the guide, to leave
a lighter footprint on the areas we visit.

We do not leave clutter behind,
even though organic.

We respect the local species
by not interfering with them.

We chose to partner up with actors
of the change (i.e: organic wineries).
6.
When we go trekking, we mainly choose
to do bivouac respecting the regulations of the areas and we never lit fires!

If you're in Barcelona and looking to escape for a breath of fresh air on the weekend, you definitely need to reach out to Delphine. She is an amazing guide and person (even dog-friendly!), highly knowledgeable about the region and botany. You will learn a lot and discover some hidden beauties. I’ve been hiking on a regular basis for many years. It’s now part of my life style. Finding Delphine and her hiking group has been a blessing for me when I moved to Barcelona 2 years ago. Her hikes are great and most of the time off the beaten path. You can see and feel that she is leading her hikes with passion. She likes to keep the group small up to 10 people maximum which is great. Using only public transport for all her hikes is also something I value a lot. Delphine is a very nice person inside and out. She manages to interact with everyone in the group in a beautiful way. The fact that I’m about 20 years older than the average of the group has never been a problem. I always feel welcomed and I’ve really enjoyed every single hike I’ve done so far. Her hikes at Montserrat have been some of my favourites so far. A must if you want to discover this magical place. I would definitely recommend Delphine as a great hiking leader to anyone who is looking for nice and original hikes in a small group. Don’t hesitate to join, you won’t regret.
